ridebmxbikes 0 #2 July 4, 2013 What kind of bird and where would it hit you at? I imagine anything hitting you at 120+ wouldn't go over so well!

drewcarp 0 #4 July 4, 2013 http://www.stanford.edu/group/stanfordbirds/text/essays/How_Fast.html Kinda interesting. Sound like you would only have a chance of hitting a migrating bird. There is a pretty funny video on youtube of a russian guy hitting a falcon (or something) with his paraglider. Hilarity ensues... Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGzzSIZvA40
crotalus01 0 #5 July 4, 2013 Theres a picture out there of a guy that hit the wing of a largeish bird with his face. IIRC it broke his nose and gave him some lacerations, and killed the bird. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...

There's also an older shot of an RW guy's helmet after a strike. There's a bird about the size of a sparrow wedged halfway through the visor of an Oxygn! Think it gave the jumper two black eyes. Haven't seen that for years though.Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Zlew 0 #15 July 8, 2013 I had a friend who hit a grasshopper that was sucked up by thermals. She hit it in freefall, and said it felt like someone threw a baseball at her face from 5 feet away.
potatoman 0 #16 July 12, 2013 Posted this before, but grasshopper struck chest just before opening. About 4inches big boy. Looked like a outlined tatoo of a grashopper on the chest. Painfull.....
