Progressivism equals Fascism

Recommended Posts

“fascism and progressivism both share the same economic views and rhetoric, use a lot of the same views about the role and purpose of the government in society, same views on trade unionism, tend to prioritize the collective over the individual at the expense of their rights, and both trend towards authoritarianism and the absolute authority of the state to guide society”

It would seem that Harris is more akin to Hitler than Trump.

BTW I never thought that Trump had a chance during this election, however given that the Harris campaign is going into full “cope mode” I am having second thoughts.

Trump stands a chance for the simple reason that there are lots of poorly educated people, racist people and misogynists.

It is Trump and his ilk who want to monitor women’s pregnancy, dictate what happens in your bedroom, suppress free speech, imprison his critics.

Quite how you come to your conclusions I don’t know.

It’s really quite simple: you start with the conclusion, for example “Trump good, Libs bad”, and you just work backwards from there to try and twist the facts into that form…Pro Tip: this is easier if you do it with a complete disregard for facts and/or previous statements that you yourself have asserted as facts. It truly is a flawless strategy.

So Trump is now progressive?

Trump supporters are weird.

The scariest thing is when fascists and communists go full circle and meet at the bottom. Then they both look like violent thugs who oppress anyone not playing their tune.

I fear the current generation of "antifa" as much as I fear Hitler's Brown Shirts or Mussolini's Black Shirts or any version of Russian secret police.

I notice you put it in quotes.... so where is the quote from exactly?  and yes, your post is complete rhetorical bullshit - given that you also share rhetoric, does that make you a fascist as well?

What makes you say that? Let's look at reality vs just one of your claims here:

On 2 May 1933, Nazis stormtroopers raided trade union buildings throughout Germany. Union leaders were abducted, imprisoned, and tortured. And union assets and properties were seized. Independent trade unions were replaced with a Nazi-controlled German Labour Front, which served as a propaganda tool for the regime and its hate-filled ideology.

The Nazi ban on free trade unions not only deprived workers of collective bargaining and representation, it also removed a bastion of democracy and freedom that stood in the way of the Nazis’ total control over German society. It was an early step in their rule of terror and antisemitism.

It would seem like you don't have the first clue about politics or history. I mean for fuck's sake, it's even in Niemoller's poem -

"Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
"

What possessed you to write something so ignorant and so wrong?

Without PAs you don't appear to have much to say.

Pity.

I don't as much, simply because they're too young and disorganized to get any real power above the town or city level. We need those voices in the wilderness, because opposition is good to make us examine our ideas (not hone our arguments -- that assumes that our ideas are all perfect, which is never true).

Money isn't with the actual ANTIFA; Soros (the MAGA antichrist) is just as capitalist as any other rich person who earned it.

Granted, we do need to listen to minority opinions.

BUT! I draw the line at political violence.

The funny thing is that at exactly the same time Brent is arguing that Fascism is Socialism, Winsor is arguing you should vote Fascist to prevent Socialism, and they will both back each other up without a hint of irony.

To them socialism is like woke.  It is simply "that which is bad."  Neither of them can define those terms any further than that.

Yet both try to come across as being "educated". Those views would be most commonly held by a peasant from Russia longing for the days of Stalin.

Socialism is left wing, kinda further left than most countries in Europe for example,. but not as far left as communism.

Fascism is extreme right wing

Political spectrum 101.  back to school with you.

Progressivism equals Fascism? That's about as ass backwards a proposition one could possibly make unless it's a total troll or you posted after a session smoking fatties with Rich Ravizza.

Read a bit on the early progressive movement. Margret Sanger? Woodrow Wilson?
