New York Post video from three months ago. Rebroadcasting a Harris video from 2017. Which would be seven years ago and four years before she became VP.

But a border security bill was killed by trump this year so he could use it as an election issue. From republicans talking about legislation on immigration bills-------crickets.Its all about mass deportations.

Come the next midterms we'll see how that all works out. The number deported. The number of new admissions and the cost.

I thought we had to pay attention to what he is doing? Cause every time he said something very extreme, people would argue he didn't really mean it that way and that we should go by his actions.

Now you are saying we shouldn't go by his actions, but by what he says.

I voted Obama twice, I sat out 2016 and did third party.  I predicted a win this time and voted for Vance, Elon and Vivek more than I did for Trump.

Everyone here still talks like the Republicans are the party of 2012.  They are not. Cultural and political forces have totally changed the landscape, even over 2020.  It sucks trump had to be there to bring the boomers along but misery makes strange bedfellows.

Social media is a huge driver of this. That is the reason why true authoritarian nations tightly control it and all media. And where that goes from here is very unpredictable. Most likely it will end up being reigned in everywhere eventually. Probably only after a major crisis like a war or large scale social unrest.

definition of "luxury belief system":

"A luxury belief is a term used to illustrate an idea or opinion that confers status on members of the upper class at little cost, while inflicting costs on persons in lower classes."

 

So you vote for Trump. A person who has a long history if stiffing lower class people, who has a long history of not paying taxes and for whom status is extremely important.
