I'll take that bet.  Somewhere between everyone wearing MAGA hats like they are masks in 2021 and not admitting voting for him is the truth. Hell most people already don't admit it and certainly didn't in 2020.

Oh I am sure everyone in Stormfront will not only admit it, they will brag about it.

But I agree that most will waffle, say "none of your buisness" or say "well I held my nose and voted third party" - or something along those lines.

Looking at voting patterns vs educational level, I doubt many Trump supporters realize that it is their ox he's going to gore.

Hi John,

Last nite I was reading where Musk intends to reduce the fed gov't by 75%.  Trump has stated that he will lower federal spending.

That ox goring is going to happen to a LOT of people.

I wonder how many people who voted for Trump get some kind of federal gov't largesse.

Most people simply do not know that they are getting it.

Which organizations and banks get the trillions of dollars printed since 2008?

No one prints "trillions of dollars."  The US mint prints a few billion in currency a year, and most of that goes to replace damaged currency.  You're off by several orders of magnitude.

Hi 698,

Those institutions did not vote for anyone.

They are not what I was referring to -> the voters.

PS)  If Trump/Musk get this reducing the federal gov't going quickly, what do you think the mid-term elections will look like?

6 - 21.5T since 2008.  15T - 21.5T since 2020.

Cool. Now do Jan '17 to Jan '21 vs Jan '21 to present.

Why?  You can clearly see it in the chart.  The point is where do printed dollars end up?  Why isn't that part of the NPC meme of, "hurr red states get more fed funds"?

Isn't there something about the House controlling the purse strings? Not even Trump can make Congress members vote in a way that will ensure their defeat in 2026.

Shockingly you left out the part about the change of methodology in 2020....

And?

https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/us-inflation-roller-coaster-prompts-fresh-look-long-ignored-money-supply-2023-01-26/

M2 took off in March 2020 as the Fed slashed rates and started buying trillions of dollars in bonds to help support the economy as the coronavirus pandemic started, ultimately mushrooming by $6.3 trillion - a 40% increase - from its level right before the start of the crisis.

The link here is to a long but well written piece that does a good job of putting forward most of the explanations for the rejection of Harris and the Ds mostly agreeing with what our more right wing posters have been expressing. Along with many of the reasons why Trump is going to be so bad for the nation. Some of you might find it interesting enough to read.

I think it’s a great summary of the situation.

Now that the US election is over Aussie news has become more internally focused. We have a rising far right problem with neo nazis. Last year Victoria passed a law that carries a 12 month jail sentence for the nazi salute in public. My gut says this is the wrong approach (admittedly I am against laws enforcing moral principles and against prison sentences for many types of crime)

I would agree with you on that. The law would seem to be an ineffective knee jerk reaction. I have always considered Oz to be very much a nanny state on many issues. A quick search turns up a story in Canadian media about the first man reaching martyr status under this law. https://www.ctvnews.ca/world/self-described-nazi-becomes-first-person-jailed-in-australia-for-performing-outlawed-salute-1.7102769

It’s the land of no personal responsibility. If they can regulate it they will.

Keep sweeping things under the rug and eventually the rug breaks.
