You want to hear about an early days Tandem horseshoe that had lines around my neck going through 3 grand? Maybe one or two small Stiletto on my back spinners with the handles in weird locations? Give me your address and I'll send you a Joe's an Honor Jumper sticker. It's not a success, it's the bare minimum that we teach: never, ever give up. Sure yes I acknowledge thats what you should do because hey wtf else are you gonna do. But some aren't so lucky and able to get out of looming death. I think it's ok to celebrate that he was given the opportunity through will power and luck to live another day. To celebrate life. Because without it none of us would be jumping. Seeing as he should, by all reasonable measure, be dead, any day going forward is a 'bonus day' here on earth for him. Your sticker could read something like: "Enjoying my bonus days." Love it Joe! And fully agree with the message. I am friends with this jumper through the Dropzone but we have a special relationship as we both got our a license the same day and we have neighboring A License numbers as a result. I am grateful for him to be alive and wanted to share with him a sentiment that shows that I care about him. I know he would greatly appreciate it. We never know when our day is going to come so I say we should celebrate every day we got. And for those whom are upset with the notion are entitled to their beliefs. I know my buddy will stand right next to me and say let's celebrate. And I will add one last thing. It's not to hype the fact that he had the incident or to put shame on any skydiver whom wasn't so lucky in outcome, Rest In Peace to all of these divers, but to celebrate the fact he fought and won and was able to wake up the next day in his bed and in good health. I will celebrate it over and over again!!

The photo taken from the ground even made it into USPA's Safety Day ad the following year. I appreciate your enthusiasm for life and am infinitely grateful as well that you didn't add to the DZ's incident record. Bless!!
