In 2004 I started skydiving and DZ.com was a social media tool to make friends and learn. I was pretty active in rigging, instruction and incident forums. When I go to the DZ today, since I am not nearly as active anymore, I recognize nearly no one. All my best friends in skydiving died in BASE or swoops - or getting hit by a drunk driver on the way to the DZ, or after graduating from USAFA moved on to military careers or families. But the die hards who keep posting here are the same names I saw 20 years ago, a sense of going back in time to my personal peak of skydiving. i have a suggestion. Make a telegram channel to keep the group together. I have seen it work in other communities. You can even post cute little stickers of your favorite furry or kinky cartoon. Over the past 20+ years I’ve been active in this site I’ve learned skydiving lessons, made great friends and changed my views on life.
