Because a criminal has vowed to take revenge on them.

Revenge for what? Being mean to Trump is not a crime. OTOH if there was malfeasance that was being covered up by the current administration, a bit of sunlight might just be the antidote

And yet Trump has vowed to prosecute them for just that.

Of course, that's not what it will be called.  It will be called anti-American activities or some similar rationalization.  McCarthy was especially good at this.  Republicans would not know this, of course, not being students of  . . . anything, really.

Meanwhile, tell us why you deserved a "pardon."

Just what statute would Trump use to do this?....exactly you have nothing.

BYW I have never asked for a pardon. What is wrong with you?

Oh BTW if you had done your homework you would know that McCarthy was a Democrat

Joe McCarthy (of McCarthyism) was a Republican. Eugene McCarthy was a Democrat. Two rather different people

You could have stayed in jail, but you didn’t.

The Smith Act, same as McCarthy.   Google it.

I "pardoned" you - revoked your ban for Christmas.  But if that offends you, just let me know and I'll reinstate you.

OTOH this puts you in the same boat as Hunter - he never asked for one either.

Like Trump, he was a democrat.  Like Trump, he became a republican in order to attack liberals.

You're a great example of why Trump loves the poorly educated - easy to deceive.

Then it is truly shocking and corrupt that Trump has vowed to prosecute them, has nominated an FBI director who has vowed to investigate them, and an AG who will enthusiastically go along with it. You must be horrified at such blatant abuses of the power of the state being planned in the open.

Go on, say that it’s shocking, authoritarian and wrong. Tell the truth for once.

That is rich, coming from the guys who gleefully cheered when Trump was being targeted.

Coming out must be so relieving for you. Now you can outright state that Trump didn’t incite an insurrection or steal secret documents or finger a resisting woman or tell a single white lie. Nope, the poor lad was targeted.

All made up charges from a state which cannot possibly make up charges.

It shows the state of the US that this is necessary. With an independent judiciary it wouldn’t be necessary, but Trump proved it is not independent. Mike Johnson standing on the steps of the court house proved it was not independent.

Joe Biden stood back and did not comment or interfere until the very end, not with Hunter and not with Trump. I still feel that Biden should pardon Trump. I want the stain on his legacy that he was a criminal that had to be pardoned and to remove all the opportunity for his corrupt cronies to drop the charges and declare him innocent.

The other thing the ‘immune’ president should do before January is step up to the plate with illegal immigrants and strip Elon and Melania of US citizenship and send them packing.

And Trump's anchor babies and Melania's chain migration parents.

It’s the biggest flaw of the Democrats. They pussy foot around while high power republicans rub it in their faces.

Have some backbone and say “Sure, we will treat illegal immigration an as issue, we will start with the ones who have openly admitted it and make an example of them” Send Elon to Guantanamo for all I care.

Then let Trump and the MAGA leadership expose their duplicity and make exceptions. Although I suspect Trump would be glad to see the back of Musk around now and would leave him out to dry.

I am all for prosecuting rapists and felons.  Not so much prosecuting someone whose crime is to be the son of the president.

No is crime was tax evasion and felony gun crime. Near as I can tell it was the Biden justice department in charge, not Trump.

Yep.  And he paid his back taxes - with penalty.  And turned in the guns.  Anyone else would have walked.

Hunter had a plea deal with the justice system - two years of probation and fines, which is the usual result of a plea deal.  Then a Trump-appointed judge got her hands on it and decided to change things around a bit to make sure that Hunter was crucified to appease republicans like yourself.  Congressional republicans then turned it into a political circus for their own benefit.  Good for Biden for protecting his son from that.

Did FOX News not mention that?

Trump's convictions were State, not Federal.  Biden can't pardon him.

It's like you're on a mission to show how bad Trump is in comparison.
