From what I understand, DZ.com is going away. (I might be more up to speed if the lefty censors weren’t so enthusiastic). That said, I have enjoyed my time here and have even felt respect and admiration for some of my left wing foils (talking to you Joe, BillV, Skydecker, et al). Thank you guys and I wish the best for you.

I know you are unhappy about the results of the last election, but this too shall pass. The ship of state has more momentum than any one term administration can significantly alter, it’s going to be ok.

As I get it the party is over at the end of the month and that's a real shame, I think. If naught else here has been a place of reprieve from the mostly saccharine conversations of daily life and that I will miss indeed. I deeply appreciate, even when in strong disagreement, what you have brought to this forum even when you were jerking my chain, leading me on, or hoping for a bite. Some here find those things offensive, not me, but then I also partake on occasion. 

The election won't harm me, but as you know that's not how I base my politics. My bets are hedged, of course, so I'm good. I hope for you and others that things play out favorably given Trumps ignorance and propensity to fuck things up. Good for me that when things are bad the jumpin' biz is usually good. 

I wish you great holidays and success and in the words of Captain Pellew when he welcomed Horatio back aboard the Indy from the plague ship: Good to have you back Mr. Hornblower.

I believe the end of this month is the end of dz.com. Also quite my job around teh same timeframe. Time for new adventures.

I will miss dz.com as a place for political discourse and getting a sense of some for what plays for my friends south of the border. Over time understanding the various characters has just made that more fun.

You and I certainly had had our battles, but certainly don't harbour any ill will. That is only reserved for one person here.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a great 2025 and beyond. I hope I am very wrong about what it will bring.

I mean I quit mine to go to another one. But I am going to enjoy the hell out my one week of being unemployed. Some time in Whistler and a buddy and I are hopping a PJ to Hawaii for a few days.

But, I'm sure you will enjoy Spirit on your next trip!

Here, you have a security blanket (reality tends to back you up). I wonder if you also make sure you have various forms of reality integrated into all aspects of your life. You know…so you face real consequences… Hawaii is nice.
