Of course you did, and by trolls you meant anyone who didn’t adhere to your narrow, misguided and fragile world view…I understand why you are breaking out your crying towel with CO2 setting records highs (without global catastrophe) Coal usage setting record levels, EV adoption <10%, renewables being rejected, Trump re-elected, Rs taking the Senate, Rs keeping the House, Sonia Sotomayer to be replaced with another Trump appointee, loosing ground with minority voters, the rejection of “woke” and the impending dismantlement of the deep state by Musk and company; yes I get it why the blue haired commie diaper babies are crying (even more than usual)

They are sincere in their beliefs and disagree strongly while still being able to hold a rational conversation and make a point (people like Bigun etc). The childish trolling adds no value and is frankly not entertaining after you’ve left kindergarten.

I’m not offended, I’ve got great respect for the people who have stood by their convictions- even if I vehemently disagree (Ron is probably the person I disagree with the most). My recollection of interactions with you is that you won’t stand by your arguments or answer direct questions, it makes it difficult to take your arguments seriously. Admittedly I don’t keep track and personally won’t keep hammering away to get someone to follow through so that may be an unfair portrayal.

So far in 2024 it's looking like it will be over 20%. Perhaps FOX News left that part out. But hey, as long as you can rile someone up, who cares if what you post is true, eh? Who are the "deep state" and why would Musk dismantle them? And is dismantling the deep state the same as ensuring the funding bill that got passed didn't have a provisions that hurt him financially? winsor 236 #44 December 24, 2024 We have a penchant for confusing problems with symptoms. I suspect that the suppression of progressive sources and accepting the toxicity of the remainder would have been pretty much the same. The killfile function has been a godsend, so skipping over routinely toxic posters, other than moderators, is no longer necessary. Unfortunately, that has resulted in largely empty threads. Thus, the demise of this website has been inexorable and its end will be mercifully swift. I come here in the same sense that I visit terminal patients in hospitals or hospices, where there is no expectation of a miraculous recovery. The people I killfiled weren't always those with whom I disagree. Sometimes people can make a case where the presentation itself is nauseating, like hearing a bad cover to a wonderful song. Anyhow, it's been real.

The deep state to which I refer are the thousands of career bureaucrats running agencies that grow unabated with little to no accountability to the electorate. If Musk fired 80% of Twitter employees and didn’t kill the company the Washington bureaucrats could do with a 50% haircut and the country would be just fine. So doesn’t that also apply to global coal consumption? After all those EVs in China are largely powered by coal fired power plants, canceling out any efforts to reduce emissions from the West.
