Trump threatens President of Panama over Canal

Yep, Trump want's the Canal back and the President of Panama asserted that every square meter the Canal was Panamanian and would remain so. Trump went to the number one vehicle for US diplomacy, Truth Social, and replied "We'll see about that". I don't know, could be worse, we beat Grenada so we should be able to beat Panama.

I suspected at the outset that nominating Gaetz served the purpose of removing him from the equation.  If that was the goal, it worked brilliantly.

So long as Gaetz was in Congress he could do a lot of damage.  Now he simply isn't a factor.

I hadn’t realised the real reason Trump has escalated with Panama is that they have seized his property for tax fraud. 

Seems he doesn’t like an independent judiciary and the rule of law.

What surprises me is that there hasn’t been much coverage of how Trump’s hotel was taken by the courts due to tax fraud.

The timing of Trump’s statements seems to be more about personal grievances at being held accountable than any altruistic concern for Americans
