How did you celebrate Christmas 2024?

I went over to my aunt's house and we celebrated with as a family. What with he three children, assorted spouses and seven grand-children we had a total of 14 relatives sitting around the dinner table.

We shared a bit of teasing and plenty of laughter during gift-giving. The "stealing" of gifts was even more fun!

Then we sat around a huge table to enjoy a turkey feast.

I was great to catch up on all of the progress in my cousin's lives and even more interesting to hear about which universities the grandchildren were attending, their sports, etc.

I went to my brother's, and celebrated with his family, along with that of my other brother (staying with us) -- son, daughter-in-law, her parents (all from India), along with his daughter and ex-wife, and the ex-wife's boyfriend. One big happy family; we had homedade Swedish sausage, a vegetarian alternative assembled in cornhusks, Brazilian homily pudding, Indian and Swedish sweets, and a lot of family fun and conversation.

It was the Indian parents' first time ever seeing snow.

I saw my sister, her husband, and my neices, well, and Col. EH Taylor.

Mom and Her hubby were there.  My wife and I and the nieces boyfriends.

Played the saran wrap game (Ball of prizes wrapped up in saran wrap where you have to disassemble while wearing oven mits. Timed by doubles on the dice.)

Drove two hours to pick up my parents,  then drove 5 hours with them to my son and DILs place. Spent Tuesday and Wednesday there, then drove back.

Other than having to deal with two 80+ year olds with multiple mobility issues and significant cognitive problems while on the road, it was awesome.

Got thoroughly plowed with my kid. Gave them a Garmin In Reach so he has a way to get help if needed when he's working on the back 500 acres. They got me the dji mic set that I've been drooling over (improved audio quality won't help my YouTube channel view counts, but hey, at least I will hear the difference). Dad was stoked with his 2 lb box of Sees candy. Played some Cards against Humanity (the Hot Box expansion is hilariously wrong).

And holy shit did we eat good.
