JerryBaumchen 1,371 #1 Posted February 7 Hi folks, How long until the GOP realizes Trump has to go? IMO when the Nov 2026 election results come in. Thoughts? Jerry Baumchen PS) I've been thinking about this & thought it might generate some interesting input.
billvon 3,006 #2 February 7 How long till my soul gets it right? (Indigo Girls) How long till the point of no return? (Kansas) How long to sing this song? (U2) How long you gonna keep me wondering? (Dire Straits) But to answer the question - no, they won't do anything then. Because at that point all they will have left are Trump supporters - and Trump will be happy to primary them away at the next election unless they support him. They have a tiger by the tail, and they absolutely cannot let go at this point.

I realise this is a bit doom and gloom, but I think it’s too late for the US to turn the corner back into a functional democracy. It’s become a clown show, who would ever thought there would be pictures like this taken in the Oval Office? It’s like they watched the Borat Dictator movie and thought it was a documentary. Trump will be replaced by Vance, I would be willing to bet $500 on it. Vance is far from stupid, he’s a snake. He is kissing Trump’s arse because he is politically astute to know it’s needed for now. But he’s not a McConnel or Graham, he is shooting for the top job.

We can only hope others join her. Jerry Baumchen

The problem is that too many are too slow on the uptake to see down the street much less around the corner.
