Tell me again how Trump isn't a Russian stooge?

Complete and utter bullshit.

A bad driver may be slightly better than one who freezes up with a deer-in-the-headlights expression when racing toward a cliff.

Trump will keep the body shop in business at best, Harris is in the "what cliff?" category.

We're fucked either way, but we may have a chance with the sorry sonofabitch that got elected.

That's my point. This is where we're at.

And my point is that if you think a stupid laugh disqualifies a candidate, and a history of rape, fraud, felony crime and insurrection does not - we have bigger problems.

It's so noticeable that no-one, no-one, who says that Harris is so bad has anything but the vaguest of platitudes to offer to explain why she is so bad.

By that, I thought you meant it as one who did nothing but that and the felon.

Why would you think that? If you’re so ill  informed you think that Harris does nothing at all that you could mention except have an annoying laugh then why are you even bothering to comment? What could you possibly be adding to the conversation?

I've heard the "but we need to pay the national debt" refrain so much now that I think it's a Russian narrative...

Winsor was parroting it, now every russian bot I see online is parroting it.

I don't have an economics background so I don't know exactly how the national debt works, especially with a country whose currency is considered a reserve currency like the USA. The UK only paid some war bonds from WW1 (yes, that's world war ONE, not two) in 2015, so when your side keeps saying "we're going to get fucked SOON" you really need to qualify when "soon" is.

Wikipedia has a fairly detailed but comrehensive explanation.

Most of the debt is owed to Americans themseves by way of pension funds and other investments.  And a lot is owed to other parts of the government, such as Social Security and Medicare.

The top three foreign holders of US debt are Japan, China,  and the UK.

Except for 1835 and 1836 the USA has had continuous federal debt since it borrowed from France to pay for the revolutionary war.  The sky hasn't fallen.

The "Continental" was the fiat currency issued to cover expenditures related to the war of Independence and establishing the new nation.

This currency collapsed, and the expression "worthless as a Continental" became common.

A study of the"Federal Reserve" (which is neither Federal nor a reserve) might bring your sanguine stance into question.

The Fed has been around for 111 years, during which time the USA has had a continuous debt.  The sky hasn't fallen.

Better than bankrupting casinos and screwing investors.

In discussing Huey P. Long the claim was made that corrupt and competent was preferable to honest and incompetent.

Having said that, describing Trump as competent is a stretch.

What did policy accomplishments other than advocating and raising money?

Do you actually believe that DA's need to ramp up their "policy" accomplishments?

As Vice President she carried her bucket of warm piss like a trooper for 4 years, so I'll grant you not a lot there. But that is not the point we make, and to make that point again I'll quote one of the great minds of Speakers Corner "...you'd vote for a potato on a stick over Trump..." (sic)

Given that you know this is a stupid question you are being intentionally dishonest now. You're saying you can't possibly know anything good about any political candidate unless they have already successfully sponsored legislation or wielded executive power - and if they haven't they're just as bad as an insurrectionist, rapist and fraudster? Get a fucking grip, man.

What makes you think you have any idea what floor you're on? Your claim is that incredibly drastic action needs to be taken right now or it's too late. But to me an anecdote about the fate of a 250 year old wartime currency of a start-up nation isn't a particularly good reason to think that the US dollar is going to impode tomorrow.

Republicans have been crying "wolf" about this since Reagan's time, but the ground has yet to materialize.
