GeorgiaDon 377 #26 March 14 That's fair. Also more sea turtles than I could have imagined. I feel quite privileged, as I get to teach a course there every year.
wmw999 2,507 #27 March 14 I agree about the baby sea lions, but Antarctica was worth it to me. Penguins are way, way, cool. Not as cool as baby sea lions, though. Wendy P.

It's a cool place. Quite a bit of Green washing, though, and I was quite surprised at the number of cats and dogs. I did get my first Tattoo there swimming with sea lions. Being too cool I decided to show one some free fly moves, dove to the bottom and promptly speared myself on one of the big Sea Urchins they have. It's never to late in life to be a dumbass. The deep fried Scorpion Fish is good grub, for sure.

Seems like 3+ days there and the same days back for 3-4 days of standing on ice staring at penguins and sea lions and it ain't cheap. I don't doubt the nightly talking to's are awesome though. Antarctica was OK, but South Georgia was spectacular.

As a teenager I cut them open to draw big fish into speargun range, now I just leave them be.

I told a niece it was a Tattoo of the Southern Cross and went up in her estimation, same as a Facebook Like I reckon.
