Wombats

A young influencer decided to take a baby wombat from its mother for her instagram. There’s been a huge outcry, but my favourite comment was from our Prime Minister. He said wombat’s are gentle creatures and that she should take a baby crocodile from its mother instead

I don't understand. Is there some law she violated. She picked it up and then turned it over to her mother. I wouldn't pick up a baby croc, but have picked up a mountain & African lion kitten. (Rescues)

Things is the guy filming and laughing is quite clearly a home grown Aussie bogan so it’s odd that the news stories are all taking the immigration/visa angle.

They are both facing animal cruelty charges. But Aussie takes a hardline on immigration. That only fans woman that came to do shows/ take virginity of lots of school leavers had her visa pulled and was deported (working on a tourist visa).

At the moment being an influencer in Aus, you are in a vilified demographic and won’t get mercy, American on top certainly doesn’t help.

Animal cruelty and it’s both of the people involved. There’s a strong culture of respecting wildlife and leaving it be.

That's not animal cruelty brother. It was anmal stupidity. It is an example of today's "look at me influencer" society. Don't give a shit about anything but how to captialize on "likes."
