Russia? US intelligence compromised?

My grandfather was the head of an intelligence agency back in the day (Rhodesia), and I know that humanitarian operations were frequently a cover for intelligence gathering.

It’s also pretty well known/rumoured that USAID,  Voice of America and similar are used by the US government/CIA to infuence foreign governments and spy. 

With how close to Russia Elon and Trump are I wonder how much of this overt interference in those areas are under the direction of Russia? 

I genuinely believe the US has sleep walked into a situation where a foreign power has covertly taken/taking control without military force.

It's been apparent for a while that the new right have no principles, none whatsoever, regarding the proper functioning of government that they won't throw aside in the pursuit of more power to force through their agenda.

I saw one comment from either a VOA or USIP employee saying the Doge staffers and Trump apparatchiks who came in were so radical, so partisan and so bent on forcing through their agenda that they can't even comprehend that other people can go and do their jobs with integrity without trying to advantage their 'side' at every step. They just assume the entire system is as corrupt as they are.
