davyvfr 0 #1 June 2, 2013 Hello, I've wondered this for quite some time. Lets say you have a USPA B License and wanted to go to another country to skydive, will that license be valid in a country like Europe? Can a U.S citizen get trained in another country and obtain a license? Would it be valid here in the U.S?

Converting a foreign license to a USPA license is not hard, and some DZs in other countries train to USPA standards and use USPA licenses. `"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Tinley 0 #3 June 2, 2013 There are several European drop zones that teach all the necessary skills needed to fulfill the USPA A license requirements. If the license you earned in another country does not meet USPA requirements then I assume there would be some restrictions on what you can do in the US until you meet all that is required. As a USPA B license holder you should be able to jump in Europe without a problem. Just be sure to bring the appropriate documentation. In some countries the liability insurance provided by the USPA may not be sufficient and you might be asked to pay for a local club membership which would provide a higher amount of coverage. This is required at some dz's in Italy, for example.
