FiveZigen 0 #1 May 10, 2013 Hi guys, I am taking a road trip from Denver to Toronto with a stop in Chicago with a good friend of mine on Thursday May 16th. Problem is my rig is in Toronto and I am 5200kms away in BC. Was curious if any one had a rig I could borrow/rent for the day. I fly a Crossfire2 149 currently and am looking for a rig with a 150 or larger canopy. I have a C license. If any one could help out a fellow jumper or knows some one who may be able to it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Ryan
BeteNoire 0 #2 May 10, 2013 Have you called the dropzone which you will be visiting and asked them if they have rental rigs?
FiveZigen 0 #3 May 10, 2013 I have indeed...$35/jump no day rate. Little bit steep at $59/ jump with the lift ticket. Even picked up the phone and called them to confirm they do not have a day rate. Ryan
FiveZigen 0 #4 May 10, 2013 I can also provide my base rig as colateral for the day.
demon4o7 0 #6 May 12, 2013 Supply and demand probably happens for a reason. 59$ a jump doesn't sound to bad about now huh?
wmw999 2,534 #7 May 12, 2013 You know, there's absolutely nothing wrong with what he did, it's worth trying. I'm not sure why you posted. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. dot_txt 0 #10 May 14, 2013 I think Chicagoland Skydiving Center has day rates (last I checked it was 80 or 90/day) if thats an option for you.
