FlyingRhenquest 1 #1 April 14, 2013 Beautiful day, but too windy for skydiving and the wind tunnel's slots are all sold out so they can't take a walk-in. Now I'm all dressed up with no place to go. In other states you can tell it's too windy because the flag's flapping. In Colorado you can tell it's too windy because the flag pole's flapping. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
BigMikeH77 0 #2 April 14, 2013 Maybe you could just go for a plane ride... I hear the ride back down is quite exciting
ThreeKnees 0 #3 April 15, 2013 No wind tunnels here. Consider yourself luckier than most.
rastapara 0 #4 April 15, 2013 Just start drinking, when the skygods see that the winds usually go down, and all the other people can jump, and you can watch with a beer in your hand... FlyingRhenquest 1 #5 April 15, 2013 Apparently the sky gods decided snow would be a good idea today. Huh. Well I still have about 32 ounces of Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout in the fridge...I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? fastphil 0 #6 April 15, 2013 Be careful, on a windy day in the mid 1980s instead of skydiving I went windsurfing and never came back.

I hear the ride back down is quite exciting Take-offs can be pretty exciting too, when the wind's well over jump limits and blowing directly across the runway. I went up for a 'pleasure' trip in a little Cessna on one of those days. I can still picture my white knuckles on the back of the pilot's seat.
FlyingRhenquest 1 #8 April 18, 2013 There's like a foot of snow on my lawn right now. I was going to build an igloo this afternoon... alll sarcastically... It's supposed to be up to the 60's by the weekend. The landing zone will be muddy as hell at some point. If I can get in there early, the snow would make for a few interesting landings before it all starts to melt.I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind.
