jrouse 0 #1 December 4, 2012 Guys/Gals I need your opinion. I've been doing tunnel time to hold back the itch to do AFF because its cold and snowy where I live. Well this weeks weather has been so nice in the state that I'm working (Delaware) that myself and a guy that works with me decided to do a Tandem jump today. Bad Idea!! You know when your hungry and you only eat like 3 potato chips, and all that does is make you more hungry and wanting more? Yeah thats what it feels like know. Long story short my question is so you think it better I wait and do AFF at the DZ which I will probably be jumping the most at or would it be alright to do it at Skydive Orange in Orange VA when Im in Richmond for work starting this january? I'll be there for the better part of 2 to 3 months which should be plenty of time to get an A license weather permitting. Just wondering what some of your opinions on this are and what kind of advice you might have. ThanksLovin every second of it!
FlyingRhenquest 1 #2 December 4, 2012 I'd say go for it! What you want to avoid is starting your training and then waiting for a month and a half to do another training jump. If you can get good conditions every weekend and can do multiple jumps in a weekend, just go for it!I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? Mr_Polite 0 #3 December 5, 2012 I would do it now. Worst case you go a little uncurrent and have to do a refresher class.
dthames 0 #4 December 5, 2012 I jumped at several places when I was a student. Not all by choice but if you want to jump, you do what you have to.Instructor quote, “What's weird is that you're older than my dad!”

StreetScooby 5 #6 December 6, 2012 One thing to consider - if you go through a DZ's program, you're kind of looked after by those same people for a while. If you come in from another DZ as a student, it won't be quite the same.We are all engines of karma
ShcShc11 0 #7 December 6, 2012 2-3 months is plenty of time Go for it as long as the weather is nicely warm and cozy
slotperfect 7 #8 December 6, 2012 If your schedule allows regular allotments of free time for you to train when the dropzone is open and active (it's winter, remember), do it now! You may be able to get farther than you originally intended! Best of luck to you . . .Arrive Safely John
