M1ke 0 #1 November 18, 2012 I am arriving into Orlando airport tomorrow (Mon 19th) at 2026 and am trying to plan how to get to DeLand. This has all been a bit last minute, so far I've found a taxi for $95 which I'm not too keen on - there are busses but the shuttle bus seems to say 24 hour advance booking is required and the Greyhounds don't look like they run late. Additionally I'm 24 and don't hold a driving license (I do hold a UK motorbike license) So... Can anyone advise me on how to make the trip? Are there any skydivers living in Orlando who'd be able to put me up for the evening? Even better, is anyone travelling to DeLand that evening or the following morning who I could car-share with? I'm visiting from the UK, travelling to a few different DZs in Florida over 1 week, just so people know. Thanks in advance for any help.

jackwallace 3 #4 November 19, 2012 http://www.dots-daytonabeach.com/ It will drop you off in Deland. At the strip club. Google Deland taxi or ask in the strip joint. Or maybe the DOTS guy will drop you at the DZ if you give him a $20.U only make 2 jumps: the first one for some weird reason and the last one that you lived through. The rest are just filler. scr
slotperfect 7 #5 November 19, 2012 That's only a mile and a half from the DZ.Arrive Safely John
M1ke 0 #6 November 19, 2012 Cool, I emailed the DOTS company, hopefully they'll get back to me and it'll take me less than an hour to get through to the bus stop. I've not got much cash but I've got a load on a card, I assume that like the UK there'll be ATMs in the airport?

freeflyfree 0 #8 November 19, 2012 Maybe try going to the wind tunnel on International DR, and don't leave the place until you get a ride to a DZ.-- Blue Skies NO FEARS, NO LIMITS, NO MONEY...
