sudeep 0 #1 September 25, 2012 Hello I am a student and I badly want to have a USPA 'A' License. I was looking few dropzones in Arizona and the minimum price they are offering is $3500 to get a license. Is there a way that I can get the license much cheaply? I am willing to travel any where in States. Thank You
normiss 851 #2 September 25, 2012 You should be able to easily save $1000 by dropping from a "gold" type package to a lesser package. From what I have seen of pricing, $3500 is first jump course through to A license that pays for all jumps, generally some prepaid room for any required re-jumps, as well as full video and coach jumps. Is that what was quoted to you?
sudeep 0 #3 September 25, 2012 No Sir. The basic package is $3500 with no video. The highest package is $3900 with the video. Is this a reasonable price? Do you think it can go much lower? Thank Youi

davelepka 4 #5 September 25, 2012 Skydive the Farm in Georgia. $1999 for the A license package including a canopy control course. See details here - http://www.skydivethefarm.com/prices/ Before you consider Lodi, research the DZ, the DZO Bill Dause, and the maintenance of their aircraft and what the FAA has to say about it (here's a hint - it's not good). sudeep 0 #6 September 25, 2012 Yes I have just seen the bad news. I would not go there at all. Thank you for the suggestion.
nickfrey 0 #7 September 25, 2012 Its amazing how many local (nor-cal) jumpers claim not to go to lodi, and then turn up there. And I could swear dave must have an automated search for any mention of Lodi, he is always the next post telling everyone to stay away from the scary place. There is nothing wrong with bills aircraft. Infact other dropzones lease them all the time, the scary horseshoe thread is bills plane at another dz... Cost me $2800 without failing any levels, not including the cost for USPA membership and the license itself
