ray702 0 #1 August 15, 2012 Hello everyone! I went on my first tandem a week ago at Sin City skydiving.. Was a lot of fun. I nearly threw up under canopy, and was gagging as soon as we hit ground.. But I'm hoping that wont happen again.. I'm going to do another tandem just to be sure. When I do decide to take the A.F.F class I want to be sure that wont happen again. But basically I'm wondering if anyone has gone to Sin city skydiving, and can recommend there A.F.F class. Mesquite also has a skydiving school, its only a couple hours away and seem like a bigger place. but ive never been there..
Arvoitus 1 #2 August 15, 2012 Being on the passenger side is special. I've got over 700 jumps and over 50 tandems and the only time I've felt nauseous was when I was riding a tandem as a passenger few months ago. The fact that you felt sick under canopy on tandem may not mean anything for personal jumping.Your rights end where my feelings begin.
jtval 0 #3 August 15, 2012 Mesquite, shouldn't be a couple hours away. Its located 70 miles N of the stratosphere. I guess if you live on the south end of the valley, it would be a couple... Mesquite is the place you will end up jumping as a licensed jumper. I would suggest you give them a call and make the choice from there. Search for Mesquite, Las Vegas, Sin City skydiving or you can check out the reviews on DZ.com the results will speak for them selves. Either way, Good luck. Maybe I'll see you at a boogie in Mesquite. I moved to colorado but I still consider them my Home DZ.My photos My Videos

DcloudZ 0 #5 August 15, 2012 QuoteI'm also going to an indoor skydiving wind tunnel soon before I go to any a.f.f Are you going simply for fun? Or is it an instructed course in the wind tunnel?"Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts

It's much better to do tunnel time with an instructor than to do tunnel time by yourself as a first time "commercial" customer if you understand what I mean! Brice379 0 #8 August 16, 2012 Did my AFF at Sin City as well as several of my friends. All had a good time and we still jump regularly. Where I live Sin City is a bit closer than mesquite so I go to Sin City more often. Regardless of which you pick you will still have lots of fun.
