Anvilbrother 0 #4 May 23, 2012 I am sure all the good shots including him standing up are being held for cash from some news company, or some action sports shows. I would after risking all that. davjohns 1 #7 May 23, 2012 Brilliant! Congrats to him!I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Namowal 0 #14 May 23, 2012 Quote And the boxes didn't have advertising all over them, just a guy with a wingsuit and a dream. Awesome. I noticed that too. I thought "In the future we'll know this is footage of the first landing because there's no adds or logos on the boxes..." More importantly, does he owe all of us beer? I think so! CornishChris 5 #20 May 23, 2012 A dream... ...and hundreds of people like me (skydivers, friends and randoms alike) spending all day building boxes. Was amazing to be even a small part of today and I have to say Gary is so humble and cool. Just a guy doing what he loves!! Got to admit that watching it live had me in more nerves than the last several hundred jumps. Rather him than me! CJP Gods don't kill people. decompresion 2 #21 May 23, 2012 Quote That's not how beer rules work. That's exactly how they work. When you do something for the first time you owe beer to all those who have come before you. When there is no one before you, you owe nothing because there is no one to owe it to. There are no dangerous dives Only dangerous divers
mirage62 0 #22 May 23, 2012 Whats really cool to me is that he just put the whole thing together with what is known to work. Card board box landings aren't "new" He knew the decent rate....of course the extra BIG set of balls he is carrying around didn't hurt.Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
pchapman 279 #23 May 23, 2012 So you don't have to wear black to do a stunt like that! The BBC video showing him walking out does show that he wore a neck brace. Am curious what rig he wore -- not too much weight on the back would be nice during the deceleration.
CornishChris 5 #24 May 23, 2012 He wears a neck brace on many jumps. Base rig, not sure which. Many CAA exemptions required... CJP Gods don't kill people. People with Gods kill people
mdrejhon 8 #25 May 23, 2012 What impressed me was how slow the landing looked, at least on video. Wingsuits are known to go incredibly fast. I bet that after analyses are done on the landing angles and speeds, that people will be doing other wingsuit landings within the next decade for publicity/fame/media -- now that this path is trailblazed -- including on a slide, on a ski slope (with skiis), and more. I see ski jumpers going at higher velocities than this!
