obelixtim 150 #4 April 16, 2012 2 in 4000 jumps. but I have about 20 intentional cutaways, so they don't count. I know a guy who has 34 chops and reserve rides, in about 10000 jumps, but he doesn't mess around with anything, any doubt and its gone. We told him to apply for another A licence after his 25th chop.My computer beat me at chess, It was no match for me at kickboxing....

chuckakers 426 #8 April 16, 2012 8 whacks in 5,000 jumps over 27 years. 1. Horseshoe after pulling p/c through a camera wing. 2. Multiple broken lines on an Excalibur. 3. Spinning, line twisted Stiletto. 4. Rigging error of mounted flag. 5. Cut away by another jumper during freefall (stupid shit didn't even hang on to the handle). 6, 7, & 8. Spinning, line twisted Velo. Yeah, I know - body position. Guess I'm getting lazy in my old age.Chuck Akers D-10855 Houston, TX

airdvr 210 #16 April 16, 2012 in the middle 80's a friend bought a main canopy from a company called SpaceCoast. Interesting checkerboard design that used to mal regularly. We'd all go out on the deck on jump run to see if her canopy was going to open. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
mchamp 1 #17 April 16, 2012 I know a guy back at my old DZ that had 30 ish unintentional cutaways and that was ONLY on his tandems alone, mainly tension knots, not sure of how many on his sport rig. He had around 8,000 ish jumps. @oblixtim: not sure if we're talking about the same guy or not!For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Had my 3rd reserve ride the past weekend so thought it would be fun to find out who's the daddy when it comes to cutaways I have only had 8 chops since 1972.... with 3 of those being on belly warts starting at myfirst chop on my 5th jump... 2 on Blast Handle equiped TracII piggyback rig for 5 in the old days with Capewells total... 3 chops with 3 ring rigs in the 2000's. Longbow1415 0 #20 April 16, 2012 5 in total. Dropped a handle, old front and back rounds in 1987. Handle floated over shoulder...couldnt find so chest reserve at terminal ! Canopy collision at 1000 feet over Dunkerswell early 90's, cutaway at 800feet. Brand new rig, reserve packed at factory. Two line twists on a Stilleto 120, both cutaways as rotating against my kick, make a decision and go for it. Testing a student static line rig that had problems...it did.. got off it. councilman24 37 #24 April 16, 2012 An old time jumper that was around for a few years after I started claimed to have 39 and stopped counting. I believe him. These were all on rags or PC's with his chest mount pop top and older reserves. A lot of these weren't traditional (now) cutaways but canopy transfers with the front reserve. He only ever had a few jumps on ramair piggy back gear. He's also the rigger who packed me a 1400' reserve total. He used to pack his PC in about 5 minutes, total. He'd stretch it out as he took it off and then pull the sleeve down, stow the lines and put in his conventional back container. I'm old for my age. Kimbo 0 #25 April 17, 2012 First reserve ride was on Jumps #2,025. The second was on #2,036. both were hard pulls, so I had nothing out. So I've not had any cut aways so far.
