Ron 10 #26 March 27, 2012 QuoteEver plan on going to boogies or getting on bigger way jumps with people who dont know you? I can only remember being asked about a log book 4 times. Two of those were at Perris. I have a log book.... I have not used it in years. My Neptune keeps track of my jumps and I keep a log in XL of my work jumps for pay issues."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,
godfrog 2 #27 March 27, 2012 QuoteQuoteI don't log jumps, never had a reason to, not looking to be an instructor or anything just have fun, most of what I did log were jumps with a special meaning to them, mostly personal meanings for some reason. Just never made a habit of logging them mostly out of procrastination. Ever plan on going to boogies or getting on bigger way jumps with people who dont know you? Nope, got burned out on bigways long ago, and the people that I jump with are good people. I was just invited to participate on a bigway and a possible record and I really doubt I will attend.Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward
Bellyflier 0 #28 March 27, 2012 I was one of those lazy loggers and now I'm kinda screwed if I want to get any kind of instructional rating. I could kick myself in the ass for not logging like I was supposed to. It was a lesson learned. There are a lot of lazy loggers out there and I believe I remember reading that Jan Meyer used to be a lazy logger as well, but things are different these days and wish I just would have logged like I was supposed to. Recent news prompted me to open an old log book from 2000. In that book are several entries signed off by a character named Orly King. Godspeed, Orly. Thanks for showing me the path.
