jasonRose 0 #1 October 17, 2005 Does any one out there in DZ.com land know of up coming canopy control classes in the NW?? Although with my 100+ jump numbers I don't need them, in fact I should be teaching the class. That was added for a laugh. Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!! Floats18 0 #4 October 17, 2005 Yea, any 100+ jumper would have known that it was supposed to be a joke... geez--- and give them wings so they may fly free forever DiverDriver in Training
NWFlyer 2 #5 October 17, 2005 Snohomish brought in Brian Germain in June, so I don't think he'll be back any time soon. Since we're entering the off-season here (otherwise known as "cloud-dodging" season or "take the plane up and see what you get" season), I doubt you'll find anything in the NW before next summer, unfortunately."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. fmmobley 0 #7 October 17, 2005 I went to Deland to attend Scott Miller's "essential skills" canopy control class. It is a great class, I highly recommend it. He travels a lot and may get up your way. I suggest you check his web site or email him for his schedule. http://freedomofflight.tv/public/index.php?which=canopy... Marion

NWFlyer 2 #15 October 19, 2005 QuoteGood point!! Although the New Years party down that way should be bad ass!! Except all the cool kids (and Remi, too) will be at Eloy for the dropzone.com Holiday Boogie. I'm sure the locals can confirm it, but I'm betting there's canopy coaching availble there, too."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. High perfomance flight?Slip Stream Air Sports Do not go softly, do not go quietly, never back down

Accuracy right now seems to be my main focus while under canopy although I have been messing around with my canopy at alti just to see what she can do. Just to clarify before the wolves eat me, Safety is the #1 priority! Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!!

Remster 30 #19 October 19, 2005 Quotebut I'm betting there's canopy coaching availble there, too. Betsy can probably comment on this one, but my gut feeling is that the Eloy xmas Boogie is way too busy to do canopy coaching. There can be 4 or 5 planes running back to back. Thats not the best time to open high and play around when you have bodies falling all around you. That being said, yes, there are definatly canopy control coaches at Eloy. And Perris too. (for the record, my wife and I took some coaching from Jim Slaton at Perris last year, with very different individual goals, and Jim was very good at addressing our needs and tailoring his feedback and advice for us)Remster
