TampaPete 48 #1 November 25, 2011 Does this count as landing a wingsuit without a parachute? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_dyy61h20M

ciscobird 0 #5 November 26, 2011 Any surviving footage from any of go pros (see at least 2 go pros on his helmet)? Any idea for the cause of hesitation? Difficulty in finding the hacky or...?
TampaPete 48 #6 November 26, 2011 We were discussing it today at the DZ. 2nd hand statement (from someone who heard from someone who was there but did not see the event) was no one knew why he deployed late. Also, I didn’t know he was hurt as bad as people are saying. His father posted the Youtube video. Since family posted the vid I poached it and pasted it here. I say he gets credit for the feat. Thoughts and prayers with him and his family.

quade 4 #8 November 28, 2011 QuoteI say he gets credit for the feat. Again, that's not landing. We've been discussing landing a wing suit on this web site for a very long time. Check out this thread from 2002! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=133979 We determined years ago that a landing pretty much meant a person could walk away under his own power and do it again. I really don't think this qualifies and especially since the result of wearing the wing suit doesn't seem to be any improvement.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
