able2roll3 0 #1 September 30, 2011 I have Just got my A license and I am from Il My plan is to get my B License before the season is up here. However if i Cant do that I would like to stay current during the cold winter months. Was wondering if anyone knew of some good dropzones open year round that i could drive to for some weekend jumps? JohnRich 4 #2 September 30, 2011 If I could retrieve the fortune I have spent Worrying where it came from not caring where it went I could live the heady lifestyle of Playboy magazine I would see the worldly sights, that still remain unseen. I must amount to thousands I've squandered on the sport The mark of any jumper a balance close to nought But if I had it back in one financial lump I'd go south in the winter and jump and jump and jump. - Skies Call
wildfan75 1 #3 September 30, 2011 It helps to be more specific about what you're looking for. Are you looking for a warm weather destination? Perris, Eloy, Z-Hills, Spaceland, etc are open all year 'round. Are you looking for someplace close to home? If so, where is home? If it is Chicago as listed in your profile, East Troy is open on the weekends during the winter. You could also call the dz's closest to you and ask them. Come jump with us at Sky Knights. We have a paved runway so we don't have to deal with snow issues or anything like that. We jump as long as the weather isn't too cold for the plane to fly. If you want - come hit up a few jumps while we are still flying the PAC to get used to the area. Hope we see ya!~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me.
