matthewcline 0 #2 September 19, 2005 Typically No you will not hang from the strut the whole progression. It is helpful in the bigining to start a good arch from the strut as you are already presented to the relative wind. Buy soon enough you will; Step from the strut (the Poised exit you hear about) Dive from the Door Dive from the "V" and exit linked (once cleared for "self Supervision") and any other exit your Instructors have placed in the program to help make you a better skydiver. Relax and have fun! MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
goose491 0 #3 September 19, 2005 Plus, after solo and before your "A", you'll have to do an "unstable exit" which means you can leave doing backflips or just completely limp... or have an instructor tackle you out the door on "Ready!" Only to show that you can regain stability. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

NickDG 23 #6 September 20, 2005 Enjoy the solo sub-terminal stuff and dig into the relative wind. By the time you get to 12.5 everybody else will be going, "oh crap, oh shit, here we go," and you will already be flying six steps away from the door . . .
