lug 4 #26 August 31, 2005 I took my RSL off about 1500 jumps ago when I was jumping a Stiletto. I still have the RSL and when I sell the rig it goes with it.Memento Mori
riggerrob 643 #27 September 1, 2005 With Bill Booth offering free Skyhooks until the end of October, we have one fewer excuse for jumping RSL-less. Skyhook is the fanciest and best RSL. Skyhook availability has narrowed my choice of new rigs to Micron and Vector 3 M-series. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "While the Skyhook is already included free of charge on all our student and tandem equipment, I will extend that offer to all our sport gear ordered before the end of October as well. This option normally retails at $185, so I hope that this offer will help more and more people consider Skyhook on their rigs." Squeak 17 #28 September 2, 2005 QuoteBTW: Our DZ has a local rule. If less than 200jumps you must use a RSL. This is additional to the APF which says {if less than 500 jumps} you must have an AAD. Umm it's an AAD or RSL if "D" licensed, and either or neither if "E" and aboveYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? bob.dino 1 #30 September 2, 2005 Yup. APF regs are AAD until D licence (200 jumps) , then AAD or RSL to E licence, and once you have an E (500 jumps) you can do whatever you like. But as Ben said, Picton has an additional RSL-required-until-200-jumps rule. It's occasionally waived for visiting jumpers, but it's at the discretion of the CI (~=DZO).
