Andrewwhyte 1 #2 August 25, 2005 Not really. The bill in the Ontario legislature was introduced by an opposition (minority party) back bencher. It was given first reading over a year ago and will go no further. In parliamentary systems like in Canada or UK opposition bills never get anywhere unless they are real motherhood issues. This bill exists on the order paper as a courtesy to the member so he can be seen to be doing something for his rural constituents (the family of the dead guy in this case). The bill will hang around for the rest of the session and then die a quiet death. As for the activist, Allen Roulston has been out of the sport for a couple of years after becoming PNG at virtually every drop zone in Canada. He causes a bit of mischief now and then, but mainly just rages at the weather.
NickDG 23 #3 August 25, 2005 I just thought airing our dirty laundry (skydiving really has no borders) in public is not the way to affect change within the community . . . I've been to certain drop zones where what they are doing is so wrong and so entrenched you just want to scream. But handling these things internally is always more effective . . . goose491 0 #4 August 25, 2005 I agree things like this should be delt with internally. It's a shame really. This guy, out of the sport, likely more interested in using the death of a student to make a name for himself then his stated motives. I hope his "walk" doesn't bring him anywhere near me. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

AdD 1 #7 August 26, 2005 I dispatched a student load today as the march of solidarity in support of the bill went down the highway by our dz. Shockingly they all lived and had a good time. It made me nervous though, and my opening sucked... bad mojo all around.Life is ez On the dz Every jumper's dream 3 rigs and an airstream
