How or why is one individual obtaining multiple B licenses?

Recommended Posts

I was reading through Licenses, Ratings & Awards in this months Parachutist.

[ April '11; B licenses on p. 30.]

I have a couple questions:

Where is QAT ?

It is not indicated in Parachutists-International or National DZ Directory.

Why would, or how are, some individuals assigned multiple B licenses to the same individual ?

Quatar perhaps? I want to know where "MYS" is. There were a bunch in last month's.

And I would guess that is is simply 2 people with the same name. I'd be willing to guess that there is more than one "John Smith" with a USPA license.

Thanks Joe !

I noticed one name receiving something like 5 licenses !

Missed you at GBSD's Safety Day, but no doubt will see you at the Wolf River/ Green Bay Skydivers Cancer Benefit Boogie in July.

As a matter of fact, Punk & Bad Andy have set a pre-meeting for Staff participating & donating their time; for this Saturday the 9th, at GBSD.

Will we see you there ?

Hmmm. MYS is Moyale, Ethiopia in the IATA 3 letter city codes.
USPA must not be using IATA codes because there is no skydiving I know of in Ethiopia and there is no IATA code QAT - I would also guess QAT is Quatar...

that would be plain stupid as IATA uses 3 letter designators for AIRPORTS (which all countries have multiples of), while USPA shows the COUNTRY of the skydiver.

it's more likely that NATO Trigram codes are used :)
