2,320 bought this! Looks like a fake DZ "skydive perkasie". Does anyone know if this DZ is real? From this thread: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3004345 it looks like theres a skydive pennridge that owned by skyride (really?)

but does anyone know anything about this specific groupon and location? I'm guessing they are not actually turning tandems for $125 =[

Has anyone even heard of that DZ before? anyone know if this is even the slightest bit legit? or did these scumbags just walk away with $250,000?

it really is in Pennridge
and it has a very high volume
and yes, lots of DZs have sold tandems on Groupon for $120-$150

keep in mind the redemption rate is under 100%, so their true revenue per tandem is a bit higher than the sales price.

considering that they give a physical location and a unique description of what's to be expected on their site, I would imagine they are a real operation.

Just because YOU have no heard of them, does not make it a skyride scam. Skyride's MO is a generic template with no address, a vague reference to a large geographic area and a toll-free phone number.

Very high volume eh? They are telling the people who bought them they are booked until august for the weekends. Seems like a good way to generate weekday business and lower that redemption rate!

gary says to call 1-800 number and that the coupon will be valid in other locations...
if it looks like skyride, smells like skyride...
