millertime24 8 #1 March 9, 2011 So I finally bit the bullet and faxed in my paperwork to the USPA. I now have my very own first skydiving license. -Mike Miller C-38793Muff #5048

millertime24 8 #6 March 10, 2011 Quote Damn, I hope it don't take me 500+ jumps to get my first! If you'll notice, it's my C license. While it is my first physical license with a number, I've had my A, B, and C paperwork filled out and signed off for a while now. Now for a coach rating...Muff #5048
millertime24 8 #7 March 10, 2011 Quote Slacker. Yup! That is EXACTLY it. I'm just sick of going to dz's other than my home dz and having to explain to them that I really AM a skydiver and showing them a shitload of paperwork and my logbook (which I havent updated in about 200 jumps)Muff #5048
guineapiggie101 0 #8 March 10, 2011 Forgive me for being a n00b, but don't most skydivers update their logbooks after every jump? I know, as a student jumper, after every jump, my instructors fill out my logbook.
matthewcline 0 #9 March 10, 2011 Some do, some don't. I still log every jump. I get laughed at some times, oh well. I log them since I have so many different things to keep track of currency wise. MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

I AM A LAZY JUMPER WHO'S EXAMPLE SHOULD NOT BE FOLLOWED in this instance. I basically hit the 200 jump mark in my logbook, started wingsuiting and haven't logged too many jumps since. Dont be lazy like me.Muff #5048
crwspuds 0 #11 March 10, 2011 Log those jumps! I just had a ball reading back through big-way CRW craziness from 1999/2000 in an old logbook. I'm so glad I logged those jumps. You may not think it is important now but a few years from now you will be glad you did.

danielcroft 2 #13 March 10, 2011 Congratulations and yes, I believe this does qualify as a beer event. I log every jump (some of my log entries are pretty funny) but I usually forget to get them signed. My wife is a licensed jumper (more jumps than me) so I have someone around who's been on a lot of them and who can sign me off.
