Rover 11 #1 February 23, 2011 The upper airspace in NZ has been restricted due to the earthquake in Christchurch. The upper airspace of NZ is controlled from there. We have been asked where I work to not jump until Monday. I not sure what will apply elsewhere. I know that 1 of the people killed was an ATC controller. Sad day 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
Muffie 0 #2 February 23, 2011 In Taupo they were down yesterday, but BAU today. Very sad day for NZ.

JohnRich 4 #5 February 23, 2011 Quote4500 where I am. Shucks, you can launch 4-ways from that altitude, get flat off the hill, and do your break-off!
rhys 0 #6 February 24, 2011 We hit controlled airspace at 13k, over in Franz Josef Glacier. We were allowed to do a 15 and 18k load the day after the EQ. Have had shit weather since couple of loads to 12k but no worries there. I guess the 12k mountain between us and chch keeps us out of that zone."When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
