Upper airspace in NZ restricted

Recommended Posts

The upper airspace in NZ has been restricted due to the earthquake in Christchurch. The upper airspace of NZ is controlled from there. We have been asked where I work to not jump until Monday. I not sure what will apply elsewhere. I know that 1 of the people killed was an ATC controller. Sad day :(

We hit controlled airspace at 13k, over in Franz Josef Glacier. We were allowed to do a 15 and 18k load the day after the EQ.

Have had shit weather since couple of loads to 12k but no worries there.

I guess the 12k mountain between us and chch keeps us out of that zone.
