BillyVance 34 #12 June 22, 2010 Regardless of who it's for, anybody trying a canopy like that at that experience is taking away any.... how do I put it... margins for error? I'd just tell them, please don't give anybody a reason to put their name on the bounce bingo board. But hey, that is just me. I came up in the sport with a slow canopy progression. 235 right off A license, 170 after 80 jumps, 160 after 100 jumps, 135 after 150 jumps, and 120 after 500 jumps, and I've been on the 120 ever since. Weighed 140 when I started. Weigh 160 now. I did try an Icarus Extreme 99 for one jump, and even though I aced the landing, I never had an itch to try anything that small again. AggieDave 6 #22 January 25, 2011 Luckily avoiding injury does not equal skill. Too often people think it does. Hopefully your friend will survive his foray into a big turn on a small canopy with only a scare, most likely he will not.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
