Nobody is claiming that the newer stuff isn't a bit better than the older stuff. Frankly, I feel "safer" using my Infinity/Triathalon than I do using the 'Hog/'Cloud w/ the round reserve. But the old rig is just as good as it was 30 years ago. If it was safe enough for students in the mid-'80's, it's safe enough for experienced jumpers today.
