VTmotoMike08 0 #76 December 20, 2010 Yes, I think that's rent and fuel sales. I believe it was over $120,000 in fuel sold this year for around $35,000 in profit.
matthewcline 0 #77 December 20, 2010 "He expects the airport next year to solicit requests for proposals to lease the hangar being vacated by the skydivers in a move that could turn a bigger profit for the facility than it's earned in the past." So the 4 person board just wanted more money. And used the fir code crap to send them packing.Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!! Jumperintheair 0 #78 December 30, 2010 So tomorrow is the 31st. Does anyone have any updates? Is the DZ officially moved out or are they working a deal with the new airport manager? I'm hoping for good news on this!
VTmotoMike08 0 #79 December 31, 2010 The hanger has been vacated. I wasn't there but a few jumps were made today because it was relatively warm. I understand they will be packing outside and student manifest was run out of the classroom trailer. This setup will continue for the foreseeable future while we look for new accommodations or try to find another way to stay at the airport. The new airport manager isn't really that big of a deal, its the entire airport authority board that hates us. So no good news.
