Shows up at a dropzone with his own tandem rig and non skydiving buddy and they want to do a tandem? Would it be allowed? Would they both only have to pay for a normal jump ticket?.......just something my mind cooked up in class today while day dreaming about jumping lol

Some dropzones have a "visiting instructor" program which allows for that exact scenario. Others are case by case basis.
