If and when you were to buy a new canopy would you want to have the option of getting a lower bulk material. Like how aerodyne is offering zpx. I am hoping that the others will offer that as an option.

Always lower bulk, if there are not any disadvantages, such as life span, loss of strength, etc.

That really depends on what you want to put into what rig.

IE: I have a W13 wings that was cut for a 170 main....it fits my new to me Jedei 136 fine....would I order a new Pilot 132 in the lower bulk material?....NO...because it would not fit my current rig well....

Probably not. My current canopy combinations fit into a container size that I am happy with.

And then you'll have to buy a new container because the new canopy is now too small for the old one.

Low volume mains, not so much. Low bulk reserves? Definitely.

I appear to be reaching a point where (for most containers) I have as big a gap between their sizes as possible: if I want a smaller main (or even one that packed smaller, or a smaller container), I would probably have to get a smaller reserve.

I don't want a smaller reserve. So I won't get a smaller main.

Things like the Optimum are good and definitely the way forward!
