pchapman 279 #51 November 24, 2009 QuoteDo you mean two download options, both the original AND flv? Yes I did mean it would be nice to be able to do both, combining what one could do with the old skydivingmovies, and what one can do with youtube etc (if one has additional download software). melfalcon 0 #53 November 26, 2009 Another option is http://www.justskydivers.com Its sort of facebook just for skydivers - but there is no upload limit as such on videos, albums etc. It can also directly link with your facebook account - ie if you upload a video, it will post on facebook that the video has been uploaded etc.www.justskydivers.com - Drop into the online DZ! www.justskydivingmovies.com
cbkyro 0 #54 November 28, 2009 Well that pretty much settles that, ha! But I do miss a place to go for quick videos whenever. Check this out.. http://www.fuelyouredge.com
cbkyro 0 #55 December 12, 2009 Well this thread has slowed way down recently. Basically, lets come up with a name and I will throw it together. I need a place to get my fix on videos between jumps. I know I'm not alone so please start spitting ideas. I may start another thread specifically for that..blue skyz cbkyro http://www.FuelYourEdge.com
fmmobley 0 #56 December 12, 2009 If SkydivingMovies.com is not coming back what happens to all their videos? Perhaps an arrangement could be made for them to be moved to another skydiving site that has video such as Dropzone.com, or even the USPA web site.... PhreeZone 20 #57 December 12, 2009 Dave is working to bring it back online really soon. Most websites just can't host that many files with the bandwidth draw that SM.com has with out major revenue paying for it.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

DSE 5 #59 December 15, 2009 QuoteMine can and it's the space/bandwidth is already paid for. Skydivingmovies.com doesn't have a monopoly. If you build it, they will come. Perhaps. I'm sure you can come up with a creative URL.
skinnay 0 #60 December 15, 2009 I setup a tube site a little while ago in the hopes of writing a better interface for one but haven't really got around to it. I haven't tested video uploads but they are enabled. At minimum its a better way of aggregating youtube videos and having them tagged and searchable with more appropriate titles. http://www.skydivetube.com/

cbkyro 0 #62 December 16, 2009 Yeah, thanks for the acknowledgement. Everyone in the world pretty much knows that name is all. So far we have... SkyTu.be SkydiveTube.com JustSkydivers.com These have kind of discouraged me from creating another skydiving site other than the name "skydivingmovies.com" I have recently launched one dedicated to the extreme sports fan. Where for now you can go to buy and sell your extreme sports gear. We're talking air sports, winter sports and etc... Other than skydiving, I enjoy rock climbing and snow sports so what better than a place where I don't have to go from site to site selling different gear. The site hasn't been up long and has plenty of traffic! (Several hundred daily) As the activity goes it will continue to sky rocket. http://www.FuelYourEdge.com Let me know if you'd like a shirt..blue skyz cbkyro http://www.FuelYourEdge.com

FFlyer 0 #71 December 17, 2009 What I liked about skydivingmovies.com was that you could download the movies and watch them later. Personally I think whichever site is going to 'take over' from skydivingmovies.com needs to not only be a 'tube' type site but also allow for downloading of the movies. Not all of us have unlimited bandwidth to just stream movies whenever we want. So with that in mind it's much better to be able to download a movie and then watch it whenever you want. cbkyro 0 #75 December 17, 2009 I totally agree. That's why I implimented this into my design with a simple click of a button just below the video. I think PilotDace is just avoiding me lol. I just want to bring back our site and let "Us" -the community of skydivingmovies.com customize it how we want it. If you all would rather, I can come up with a way to have a site identical to the old one.blue skyz cbkyro http://www.FuelYourEdge.com
