OCMD skydive center ---June 3rd

Recommended Posts

Scheduled to make my first tandem jump while on vacation in June!!! I've always been an adrenaline junkie, so I think it's time for the plunge! I have a feeling either two things will happen 1) I'll die 2) I'll be hooked and have a new expensive hobby! Just thought I'd share! Couldn't find any friends that were willing to come with me... so it's just me :o

Thanks everyone! I weighed out the pros and cons, but you know if I googled "horseback riding risks" there's no way I would think it is safe, but I jump 2000lb animals around every night. I'd rather risk it while I'm young then die old and never have done anything.
It might be tough to have my bf drive me to two different skydiving places in one vacation haha [note: he is not jumping!!!] I live in the Poconos of PA, there is "sky's the limit" skydive center within minutes of my house... not a good thing if I do get hooked! I can look out my window at work on a clear day and see them comin down. Just looking to meet some new friends with the same adrenaline addiction ;)

Had this same problem myself in the beginning. so I just said "Fuck em!"
and went myself.

Still friends with the old crowd, I think I have more fun than they do :)

I was hooked from my first jump. Still new at it.

One of the up-jumpers told me I'd be better off starting to do heroin. Cheaper and easier to quit.

Was that me?

I don't think it was you. I don't remember for sure who it was.

my heart is in my throat already though... and I still have a couple weeks :S

Congrats on the decision to try skydiving. You may have a little apprehension about leaving the plane on that first jump, but once out you will love it! Make sure to come back and tell us about your experience.
