I am heading down to perris june 1-9. The IHOP is full, so are all the trailers that i know.

Anyone know of any spare rooms/trailers?

Call manifest. There is a bulletin board with rooms and homes near the DZ that are available. At least there used to be..... Maybe get someone to have a look for you.

There are a couple of hotels within minutes of the DZ, but I guess you're looking for a cheap place to crash.

I know there's a few motels around. There's also the casino in Elsinore which gives you a discount for being a jumper (show your USPA card). It's only about a 20 minute drive locally to Perris.

I don't have any advice on where to stay, however, just thought I'd let you know that you've picked dates that coincide with the Australian large formation record event. The event has about 120 or so people descending on the Perris area for two weeks and has had the IHOP and bunkhouse reserved for about a year, now, as well as several local houses and probably a few hotel or motel rooms. I would expect that accommodation will be a little tighter than usual, whatever that is... some might say that having a large formation event at Perris is the definition of usual...

If you can squeeze in a tent, camping is always free. I've also known people in the past who've rented an RV for a week or two, although that can get expensive unless you've got people to share the cost with. You can also sleep in a car. Try to rent yourself a Dodge Caliber. They are shit to drive, but fairly cheap to rent and the back seats fold down flat which makes for a half-decent bed provided that you have a good, warm sleeping bag. Thrifty always seems to have a good supply of Dodge Calibers.

Other than that, I suspect that you'll be looking at off-DZ accommodations.

The cheapest place I'm aware of is the Elsinore Casino. I think they're like $60 a night now with the USPA discount. (Makes me sad to say that... 5 years ago there only charged $25. No shit.)

Best Value Inn (about 2 miles from Perris) $49 normally, $41 with "value club card" which you can get from their website.
