searching 0 #1 April 30, 2010 Thanks to Dropzone.com I have found a person who was with my mom the day she died back in 1970 skydiving. I wanted to send my appreciation to everyone who sent me leads and notes of support. My mom was killed skydiving on May 27, 1970 in Jefferson County, Colorado. I was only 3 years old at the time and have never known what happend that day, who she was with and what she was like. I am now able to learn a bit more about her and the amazing women she was to be a skydiver back in the last 60'sQuote. Again my sincere thanks. mikihodge@gmail.com
 airtwardo 7 #2 April 30, 2010 Quote Thanks to Dropzone.com I have found a person who was with my mom the day she died back in 1970 skydiving. Again my sincere thanks. mikihodge@gmail.com I was thinking about you and wondering what it must be like living the past 40 years with that kind of void and of course the questions that surely go along with it. So glad you can at least now learn a bit more about your mother, who was no doubt an amazing woman. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
 NovaTTT 2 #3 April 30, 2010 Congratulations. The OP posted a pic of his Mom when he began the search on here but removed it...the pic showed she was a young, beautiful woman. Just imagine the drive & talent it took to be a young mother in this sport 40 YEARS AGO! I'd encourage the OP to think about the possibility of making a Tandem jump sometime in the future, make give him the chance to connect & understand, even more so than the stories he's getting from friends that knew her. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
 JerryBaumchen 1,376 #9 May 5, 2010 Hi Jim, QuoteJust imagine the drive & talent it took to be a young mother in this sport 40 YEARS AGO!
