maxwellman23 0 #1 May 2, 2010 I am consumed by skydiving, I now eat and breath it. The things is...Ive only jumped once and it was tandem. I went the day before basic training and have been hooked. I now have a steady income and can afford to get my A License; however, I now live in Alaska. This means no skydiving 6 to 7 months out of the year! I just want to know how to cope with this devastating fact. Yes I am only 19, with no experience and a plethora of things to do in the downtime but it still eats at my soul every second in not airborne(for the most part)I am ALIVE! cocheese 0 #4 May 2, 2010 Get your private pilot license there. You have time and money. Flying over Alaska must be the next best thing to skydiving. Then you can fly yourself to a dz.

j5okeefe 0 #8 May 2, 2010 If you do look at learning to fly, check out the Elmendorf Aero club. My brother just moved there to be an instructor and I know he'll be able to set you on the right path for that.I'll be whatever I want to do!

One of my rigs was assembled in Korea when my mother bought it and had it shipped there. She jumped it there and also was the passenger on the first tandem ever done in korea. Since this was all sport jumps out of military ships it seems they at least used to allow it....but then again she was airforce sooooo.....maybe they just got more freedom www.facebook.com/FlintHillsRigging
