3331 137 #1 April 28, 2010 In accordance with the USPA Governance Manual, USPA members will elect the 22 members of the USPA Board of Directors for the two-year term beginning January 2011 in the election this November and December. Any USPA member in good standing since January 1, 2009, and at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2010, may run for one of the 14 USPA Regional Director positions or one of the eight USPA National Director positions. USPA Regional Director candidates must reside in the USPA region for which they seek election. All candidates must provide a letter of intent to run, declaring candidacy for either USPA National or Regional Director. Letters must be received at USPA Headquarters by close of business Tuesday, June 1. All candidates will receive a USPA Governance Manual containing the election process and deadlines, available for download here. By close of business at USPA Headquarters on Monday, September 13, all non-incumbent Regional Director candidates must provide a written petition nominating them as candidates, signed by at least 10 percent of the members in their region as of June 1. Also by September 13, all candidates must provide a filing fee of $50 and the biographical information and suitable photograph to be included with the ballot in the November issue of Parachutist and on the USPA website.
