ntrprnr 0 #1 March 17, 2010 So I was out in Austin this weekend, giving a speech at the South by Southwest Interactive conference. Arriving on Friday, I tweeted out "Hey, I wanna go skydiving. Who wants to come?" Seven people wanted to Tandem. We showed up at Temple with no reservations, and they could not have been nicer. Spent the entire day there, with awesome people, great times, and I got two spectacular, spectacular jumps. One of the guys there was a videographer, and we got the following video done - Enjoy it. http://vimeo.com/10159944 Thank you, Skydive Temple. Class act. I'll be back._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
JohnDeere 0 #2 March 17, 2010 Temple is a great DZ with good people! Also you should try and make the Dead Man Boogie there thrown by the Texas Anvil Brothers there (later this year) Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
grannyinthesky 0 #3 March 17, 2010 That sounds great. I'm headed to Austin next week for a conference and will only have one full day to jump. Looks like Temple is a good choice."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy POPS #10490

Farmy 0 #7 March 18, 2010 I second that. I started there a year and a half ago and it is a home away from home. Mark and Penny and all of the staff are awesome. SDT rocks! I remember see you there, it was a great day for jumping. Josh

Although Skydive Temple isn't a bad place you may want to consider Skydive San Marcos while you are in Austin. The landing area is quite a bit better in San Marcos and over all is a little less "mom and pop". Suit yourself though. Either place is safe.
Remster 30 #10 March 19, 2010 Quoteand over all is a little less "mom and pop" Some of my best skydiving memories and experiences were at a small mom and pop (tho they dont have any kids lol) DZ.Remster
