AAD's on big-ways

I'm curious to know why you don't use an AAD when not doing tandems,

I don't own one. 3 rigs, it's expensive to out fit them. Before the advent of water resitant AAD's I sold the ones I owned because I was spending alot of time over swoop ponds. Just haven't replaced them, and not in a hurry to do so. I pick my skydives carefuly.

You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

True, but I can pick to do AFF or not.

Then why get the rating and choose not to use it on a regular basis?

Nothing say quality like uncurrency.....? :S

I now it's abit off the subject of the thread Bro, your a friend, try your best to get a Cypres and stay current doing AFF. :)

Be safe.

I've heard stories from AFF instructors about out of control students on the higher levels and having to really suck it down to try to help that person.

Having an AAD in your rig in that situation might be something to consider since the student has all your attention and you might lose altitude awareness.

I have AADs in both my rigs, it's expensive but I figure if I EVER need one.. they're both paid for.

Take care!
