NiteQwill 0 #26 March 10, 2010 Quote Quote Finally, An upbeat, positive, motivational post. Thank god, I almost had lost all hope. Congrats on all the accomplishments, and Yes you met a great man. Jay is just as inspirational as a newly minted A license skydiver. Blue Skys, Thanks, glad I could be inspiring. :) ZigZag: RW seems to be the typical path for those of us just off student status and with the license, which is what I'll start with to get good on belly. But I'm actually more interested in freefly :) Best part about Elsinore is you can do both with the crowd there! I usually do RW Saturdays & FF on Thursday & Sundays. See you there!"Fail, fail again. anthonyfellows 0 #27 March 10, 2010 Quote I'm sorry. But, on the positive side, you'll get over it soon enough. Maybe she will, but I still very much like him. He was the one who spent the most time ground training and re-training me during my AFF struggles and he was the one who convinced me that I could turn myself into a skydiver, when I was at the point that I didn't even think I would make it through AFF.Serious relationships turn into work after a few weeks and I already got a fucking job :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ H.A.F. = Hard As Fuck ... AggieDave 6 #28 March 10, 2010 Did he give you an AFF rating? Ok, seriously though, you'll find in this sport that many of the well known jumpers and the world class jumpers are simply neat people. Many times you'll be surprised about the lack of ego, if for no other reason, they have nothing to prove. They have proved it with their professionalism with their students or in competition or in specialty jumps and have no need to flaunt their skill. Ironically enough some of the worst attitudes you'll meet in this sport comes from about the 200-jump range. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." DSE 5 #29 March 13, 2010 QuoteHe signed off one of the proficiency skills on my A license card! Needless to say I was intimidated when my packing instructor told me we would get his signature, but Jay is an awesome guy, and just seems to be doing everything, everywhere. Much better meeting him in person than getting Gov. Schwarzenegger's stamped signature on my diploma :) Congrats on receiving your "A" license today, Emily!
